The Paper Industry Technical Association (PITA) is a membership-based Technical Association that has served the Pulp, Paper, Board and Tissue Sectors, and their associated industries for over 100 years, with members from around the world. We are seeking a self-motivated ‘Operations Executive’ to provide back-office support to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive and the Publications Editor in the day-to-day running of the Association.
The ideal candidate will:
• be a Highly Organised, Self Starter with a good Telephone Presence to provide an initial point of contact for the Association, able to work efficiently from a home location
• be Computer literate (competent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with basic secretarial/administrative skills
• have Basic Bookkeeping Skills (experience with Xero an advantage)
• have Basic Database Skills (experience with Contact Management databases an advantage)
• be used to working with minimal direct supervision and dealing with a wide range of demands with varying time scales

Overall Purpose of the Role:
We are offering the opportunity for a motivated individual to join a team of dedicated Engineers in
maintaining our paper machines and auxiliary processes onsite, to maximise efficiencies safely, 24
hours per day. The successful applicant is to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar
environment. They will join a team working an 8-week, day based cycle, involving some weekend
coverage and voluntary on call rota responsibility, however we do offer very attractive periods of
rest.

PRODUCTION MANAGER
We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Production Manager within our Chirnside Plant.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring safety, quality and production targets are achieved in a cost effective and timely manner; • Liaising with all internal stakeholders to ensure quality, safety and production targets are achieved; • Providing leadership, direction and motivation to ensure our manufacturing team are able to achieve results in line with the business plan and department’s objectives; • Promoting an atmosphere of continuous improvement; • Working collaboratively with the Maintenance Department to achieve year on year OEE improvement; • Working actively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction;
• Participating in customer visits as, and when required; • Regular updates on tier 1 board; • Attending tier 2 meetings daily; • Attending tier 3 meetings weekly.
This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday, working 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate
You will have 5-10 years of experience in the paper making industry and ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent.
You will bring with you a safety and quality positive mindset. You will be a strong communicator with excellent leadership skills, who can work well alongside others, but can also work independently as required. You will have strong skills when presenting as well as being computer literate. You will also have excellent organisational skills.
