5 Dec. 2024: A Workington based paper board mill is celebrating 25 years of supplying Christmas tree's to councils and organisations throughout Cumbria.
This year, Holmen's Workington Mill celebrates 25 years of spreading Christmas joy with their much-loved tradition of donating Christmas trees.
In a statement, Holmen said: "We’re thrilled to gift 24 stunning trees (15ft–25ft) to local councils, schools, churches, and care homes across the region.
"Sourced from the beautiful forests and estates of Northumberland, Cumbria, and South Scotland, these trees symbolise the spirit of the season and our strong connection to the local area.
"From forest to destination, each step of the process is made possible by dedicated teams, including Holmen-approved hauliers who work closely to ensure the trees arrive safely and ready to spread joy.
"It’s all about creating magical moments and giving back to the communities we’re proud to be part of.
"A huge thank you to everyone who makes this possible — your dedication keeps the tradition alive."
