1 Sept. 2023: DS Smith has carried out a strategic review of its UK recycling operations, with the sale of four depots to Veolia.

According to letsrecycle.com, the depots in Avonmouth, Birmingham, Bolton, and Leeds have now been sold to Veolia ES (UK) Limited. The fee has not been disclosed.

DS Smith has been in consultation over six of its recycling facilities since May 2023, according to letsrecycle.com

The sale is anticipated to include the baling equipment and other infrastructure. The future of DS Smith’s remaining recycling sites in the UK remains uncertain.
