10 Mar. 2023: Antalis has finessed the range of creative papers it acquired from the administrators at Arjowiggins as part of the relaunch of the products.
The merchanting group bought the portfolio of Arjowiggins brands four months ago.
Ahead of the new papers, from new makers, becoming available in Q2 Antalis has renamed the Antalis Creative Power offering as ‘Creative Power by Antalis’.
The merchant has declined to name its new manufacturing partners, but described them as “market leading”.
The Olin range of premium uncoated paper and board gains four sub-ranges, including Olin Colours, a selection of 26 shades that replaces the former Pop’Set papers while also adding seven new shades.
Xavier Jouvet, papers business director at the Antalis Group said: “Extensive pre-production tests have been carried out to ensure perfect colour matching of the popular Pop’Set shades, combined with new colour additions that complete the exciting new Olin Colours assortment.”
Also new is Olin Millesime, a range of Bristol boards with a “super-white vellum finish” in weights from 180gsm-400gsm.
The Keaykolour family of textured papers and boards will still be available in the 45 colours that matched the previous offering.
The Curious Collection has been rebranded as the Curious portfolio with four ranges: metallics, translucents, satin paper Curious Skin, and Curious Matter, which Antalis said gained its “unique” silky and sand-like touch from being “innovatively engineered using a process based on the starch contained in potato peels”.
The historic Conqueror papers will be made using “the exact same recipe” with a smaller selection of three finishes, six shades and optional watermark. Conqueror will also be available with a treatment for digital printing.
The Conqueror heritage dates back to 1888.
Creative Power by Antalis also includes Opale, Rives and Creative Labels.
During the transition phase, Antalis is still able to supply the original products from the stocks it acquired from Arjowiggins.
