1 Dec. 2022: After more than 12 years at the Confederation, CPI’s Environment Director Debbie Stringer will be retiring at the end of the year.
Debbie joined CPI after a distinguished technical management career at Bridgewater Paper Company and, over the years, she has established herself as one of the foremost experts on paper industry environmental issues, specifically permitting, emissions controls and water abstraction, as well as taking responsibility for environmental issues that overlap with health and safety such a Legionella and Fire Safety.
Debbie has built a wealth of contacts and knowledge within the industry, and she will be greatly missed, both for her contribution to the development of the industry, but also her hugely positive influence on the culture and operation of CPI itself.
Debbie has recently purchased a very well specified campervan, and she is looking forward to spending her retirement exploring the UK and further afield with her family.
CPI is delighted to welcome Jo Scott as Debbie’s successor with the title of Director of Sustainability. Jo joins CPI from DS Smith where she was most recently the Environment Manager for the Kemsley Paper Mill. Jo’s background is as an Environmental Scientist, and she joins CPI on 1 December.
